मेले में ख़ूबु घुमियासीं.

We roamed a lot in the fair.

D~aad~aa saa’n th~e chakara ha’nyaasee’n.
दादा सां थे चकर हंयासीं.

We roamed around with Dada (elder male in the family)

Chaud^olan phirin~iyun me’n char^ihiyaasee’n
चौडो॒लन फिरिणियुन में चड़िहियासीं

Chaud^ola = 14 chaired carrier.
phirin~iyun = rolling up and down circles chairs.
Meaning: We gave rounds in 14 chaired roller.

Pee’nghuni me’n bi khhoobu lud^iyaasee’n.
पींघुनि में बि ख़ूबु लुडि॒यासीं.

We rolled a lot also in the cradles.

Chholaa dab^ala ai’n chaapa bi khaadh~ee.
छोला डब॒ल ऐं चाप बि खाधी.

We also ate bread with tasty cooked peas and patties.

Golu gapaa ai’n maalu savaad~ee.
गोलु गपा ऐं मालु सवादी.

We also ate Golu gappa (a tasty Indian variety)

Khaaee pee khhoobu mazaa kayaasee’n.
खाई पी ख़ूबु मज़ा कयासीं.

We ate plenty and had lot of fun.

Khhaalee pa’nhi’njaa kheesaa kayaasee’n.
ख़ाली पंहिंजा खीसा कयासीं.

We emptied our pockets.

Asee’n kith~e khhoob ghumiyaasee’n ?
असीं किथे ख़ूब घुमियासीं ?
