Roshanu t~aaraa,chimke vaaraa.
रोशनु तारा,चिम्के वारा.

Bright stars,shining stars!

Saa'njheea taan~e nikro th~aa,
सांझीअ टाणे निक्रो था,

You appear by the dusk

Ubha saj^e me'n pakhir^o th~aa.
उभ सजे॒ में पखिड़ो था.

Scatter all over the Sky.

Chiliko chimiko saaree raat~i
चिलिको चिमिको सारी राति

Twinkling,shining Whole of the Night,

kaje avhaa'n jee kahr^ee baat~i.
कजे अव्हां जी कह्ड़ी बाति.

What can we say about you?

Raat~i langhee yaa baakee kaa,
राति लन्घी या बाकी का,

Whether or how far the night has

avhee'n bat~aayo vaata ihaa.
अव्हीं बतायो वाट इहा.

Jot~i avhaa'njee je na huje,
जोति अव्हांजी जे न हुजे,

If it wasn't this shining light of yours,

vaatahar^oo kara vaata mu'njhe.
वाटहड़ू कर वाट मुंझे
