हीउ बा॒पूजी आहे.

This is Bapuji (Father of the Nation).

Hina jo naalo Mohand~aas Karamchand~ Gaandh~ee aahe.
हिन जो नालो मोहन्दास करम्चन्द गान्धी आहे.

His name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.

Kahr^o na saad~o th~o lag^e.
कह्ड़ो न सादो थो लगे॒.

How simple (down to earth) he looks!

Subuha jo savela uth~and~o ho.
सुबुह जो सवेल उथन्दो हो.

He used to wake up early mornings.

Aval praarth~inaa kand~o ho.
अवल प्रार्थिना कन्दो हो.

First he used to Pray.

Saj^o d^ee'nhu'n kama me'n rudh~alu rahand~o ho.
सजो॒ डीं॒हुं कम में रुधलु रहन्दो हो.

He used to keep himself occupied with work, all the day long.

Roz sutu kat~eend~o ho.
रोज़ सुटु कतीन्दो हो.

Daily He used to spin cotton.

Huna khe sacha saa'n pyaar ho.
हुन खे सच सां प्यार हो.

He loved Truth.

Hoo sabhinee jo b^aapoo ho.
हू सभिनी जो बा॒पू हो.

He was Father to everyone.

Huna d~eshu azaad~ karaayo.
हुन देशु अज़ाद करायो.

He got the Freedom for the nation.
