Mr. Govind Chandiramani of Mumbai, the doyen of Romanized Sindhi is no more. He made a transition into celestial world on 26 December 2011. In his passing the Romanized Sindhi Team have lost a pioneer who first attempted Romanizing Sindhi and was an unwavering champion for its propagation.
Mr. Chandiramani was an esteemed member of the Romanized Sindhi Team and a pioneer who first independently worked on the Romanised Sindhi Script and later joined the team on the subject under the aegis of Alliance of Sindhi Associations of Americas Inc. A very dignified gentleman whose interests in photography, music, Sindhi folklore, history and many more subjects dear to Sindhi culture and traditions kept him going with full zest in life. A man with inexhaustible ideas, an elephantine memory and a child-like enthusiasm in anything that he undertook were his hallmarks. His combined interest in a variety of subjects and languages made him an enigma and a versatile advisor. The Sindhi community has lost its voice who championed Sindhiyat and its glory
THE ROMANIZED SINDHI TEAM PRAYS LORD TO KEEP HIS SOUL IN HIS HOLY LAP FOR EVER AND BESTOW THE TEAM AND HIS NEAR AND DEAR ONES COURAGE TO BEAR THIS IRREPARABLE LOSS.
